I remember when I was in first grade 49 years ago, practicing phonics using simple word sorts in workbooks. The repetitive word families were decorated with basic pictures. I always caught on quickly during our lessons and independent practice. However, there were other students who needed more time to practice. I have worked with similar students as a teacher. That’s why I decided to create phonics practice with simple word sorts activities.

I have a new math game that was inspired by my fourth grade students who needed more practice in how the find the factors of numbers. I designed the Mozeley Monster Crew Find the Factors game so that they could have extra practice in listing the factors of given numbers.

Why It Was Time to Close My TPT Store

I can’t remember how I found out about the website, but I joined Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) in 2009. Before I started on TPT, I wrote science articles for EdHelper for a few years. I thought it was a good idea and concept for teachers to sell their personal curriculum creations for money. One of my first products was my Disguise A Turkey Activity that I did as a project with one of my classes. It was and still is one of my best selling products. Now that I’ve entered my 30th summer vacation, I made a huge decision–this is the perfect time to close my TPT store.
