Description

Our Cut and Paste Long Vowels Word Sorts (Long O, Part 2) activity gives your students hands-on practice with long vowel word families. Word sorts are a great tool for helping your students review the rhymes they have learned in class. Each closed sort allows the student to show their understanding of word patterns and the relationship between letters and sounds.

• There are 9 word sort activities using Long O phonograms;
•  I have included 1 blank sort sheet, so you can make up your own sort activities;
• In addition, there are 2 sheets of letter tiles with different colors for vowels and consonants;

These activities can be used as a review for long vowel sounds or quick independent transition activities during the day. Finally, you can use these activities to help reinforce long vowel rhymes for your struggling readers;
