Description
This Landform Models and Presentation Project was a great activity for my fourth grade students at the end of our landform unit. It is also a great opportunity for your students to explore the Earth’s major landforms by producing a landform model and a presentation report.
Students will work in groups to complete the following tasks:
- Research the natural processes that create landforms;
- Determine their locations on Earth;
- Identify the natural resources and/or mineral ores that are found near landforms;
- Analyze their importance to our understanding of our planet.
After completing research, the students work together to make a model of their landform. The students present their information on a trifold. A great project that combines geography and earth science. The package includes:
- A 7-page PDF file that includes two teacher pages, four student project sheets, and a rubric;
- The second file is a PowerPoint (9 slides) that your students can use as a template for their presentation board information;
- You can save the file as a template or have the students save the file under another name;
- You can also upload the PowerPoint file to your Google Drive and open it with Google Slides;
