The best March, or throughout the year writing assignment has arrived! Our Women’s History Month Biography Awards are just in time to celebrate the accomplishments of our famous Americans! This is a great biography activity that you can be use to honor the contributions of American women.

This activity combines social studies, history, language, and technology. Students research the accomplishments of famous women in American history. Then they design award certificates which highlight the importance of their subject’s contribution.

The package includes seventeen award templates in PowerPoint. Each template has areas for your students to add information. There is also a 8-page teacher companion with student handouts and rubrics. Finally, there are two sample awards that you can share with your students. These files can be uploaded to Google Slides.
